Security Engineer (Architect / Consultant)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 2 days per week in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, or closest location

Duration: 6 months+

Daily Rate: £ per day

Summary:

Seeking a Security Architect generalist with expertise across network, infrastructure, cloud, and application security to design secure solutions for a large banking client.

Preferred Skills:
  • GCP and Threat Modelling experience
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design secure solutions, documenting security controls.
  • Analyze network and system architectures.
  • Identify and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities, using industry standards like STRIDE, MITRE.
  • Assess risks, likelihood, and impact, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Produce clear security design documentation for stakeholders.
  • Evaluate security options, balancing risks and benefits.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of security standards (ISO, PCI DSS, COBIT, NIST, OWASP)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, OSCP
  • Experience with cloud environments (public/private)
