Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to drive an enterprise-scale transformation. You will design and implement security controls across the IDAM 2.0 platform, applying Zero Trust and Secure by Design principles.

The role covers cloud security (GCP), PKI, TLS, mTLS, secrets management, and collaboration with architects, security operations, and engineers to advance DevSecOps and threat modelling.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Proficiency in Zero Trust architectures
• Experience with cloud security (GCP) and modern security practices
• Knowledge of PKI, certificate lifecycle management and secrets handling
• Familiarity withThreat modelling, SSDLC and DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across the IDAM 2.0 platform
• Embed Secure by Design principles throughout solution delivery
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security controls
• Secure authentication, authorisation, and service-to-service communications
• Implement mTLS, PKI, certificate lifecycles and secrets management
• Support Workload, Human and Agent Identity controls
• Build and maintain Policy-as-Code using OPA and related tools
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, security ops and stakeholders
• Produce security standards, hardening guides, and operational docs

We are looking for a Security Engineer with strong experience in IAM, Zero Trust, cloud security, and modern security engineering practices to help design, implement, and secure the IDAM 2.0 platform. This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale, multi-year transformation program that will redefine how identity is managed across human, workload, and machine identities.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement security controls across the IDAM 2.0 platform
• Embed Secure by Design principles throughout solution delivery
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security controls
• Secure authentication, authorisation, and service-to-service communication
• Implement mTLS, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and secrets management
• Support Workload Identity, Human Identity, and Agent Identity controls
• Build and maintain Policy-as-Code using OPA and related technologies
• Perform threat modelling, security reviews, and risk assessments
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
• Support vulnerability management and security patching
• Implement security controls across GCP, Kubernetes, APIs, and service mesh
• Configure security monitoring, logging, alerting, and audit capabilities
• Contribute to DevSecOps tooling and automated security testing
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, security operations, and business stakeholders
• Produce security standards, hardening guides, and operational documentation
