Job summary

identifi Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to join a growing, cloud-first team. You will design and implement security controls across a broad Microsoft environment, including Azure, Defender, Purview and related technologies, contributing to a long-term security improvement programme.

Working with Security Operations, Architecture, Infrastructure and Development, you will identify gaps, drive technical improvements and ensure security is embedded throughout delivery,

Qualifications

• Experienced Security Engineer with strong background in implementing and improving security controls within enterprise environments.
• Experience across several areas listed below is ideal: Security Engineering, IAM, Email Security, Vulnerability Management, Monitoring and Logging, Secure Change, ISO 27001/NIST/OWASP.

Responsibilities

Security Engineer (Microsoft Security / Azure)

Are you a hands-on Security Engineer who enjoys implementing security controls, improving security posture and working across a broad Microsoft security environment?

We're supporting a well-established UK organisation as they expand their Security Engineering team following the launch of a long-term security improvement programme. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to help shape and strengthen enterprise security across a modern, cloud-first environment.

About your Role

This is a broad Security Engineering role where you'll work across multiple technologies and security domains rather than being limited to a single product or specialism.

Working alongside Security Operations, Architecture, Infrastructure and Development teams, you'll design, implement and continually improve security controls while supporting projects, reviewing new technologies and helping enhance the organisation's overall security capability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, implementing and improving enterprise security controls
• Supporting security across a predominantly Microsoft Azure environment

What do you need to be successful ?

We're looking for an experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in implementing and improving security controls within enterprise environments.

You’ll ideally bring experience across several of the following:

• Security Engineering
• Identity & Access Management
• Email Security
• Vulnerability Management
• Security monitoring and logging
• Secure technical change
• Security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST or OWASP

Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, Intune, cloud automation or DevSecOps would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
