Job summary

Oliver Bernard are currently seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a FinTech company in London. This is an initial 6 month contract with a flexible hybrid model (1 office day p/week), outside IR35, and can offer £425 - £525 p/day for the right profile.

The ideal candidate will have 7-8+ years of security experience, with hands-on skills in Microsoft Sentinel, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Defender, Entra ID and CSPM, plus Snyk, NIST and emerging AI tooling.

Security Engineer (Contract) – FinTech - Sentinel, Azure, Terraform

Oliver Bernard are currently seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a well-established team for a FinTech company in London. This hire is part of a period of transformation across the business focused around expanding their global product and instilling a strong Security culture whilst driving transformation and innovation.

Having grown and acquired new business in the last year, they require a Senior Level Contractor to support their broader CloudOps / Platform team in their efforts to scale through a series of projects focused around Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform & more, whilst driving Security best practices to ensure their Platform is capable of dealing with Cloud Security threats in a fast, responsive, and active manner.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7-8+ years Security experience, ideally in a Senior capacity within broader DevOps / CloudOps driven environments, and have the following experience:

• Strong Security background with extensive hands-on SIEM experience, specifically with Microsoft Sentinel
• Extensive work with Azure Cloud & Azure Services, with an ability to provide secure Cloud Architectures in fast paced technical environments
• Strong Azure Security experience, with Defender, Entra ID, Azure networking, and CSPM
• Strong knowledge of Snyk, NIST, and other Security related frameworks
• Hands-on experience with DevOps technologies, such as Kubernetes, Terraform / Bicep, Azure DevOps, PowerShell etc
• Capable designing Security policies, procedures and best practices
• Recent hands-on expertise with AI Tooling is also required
