Job summary

Control Risks Group is seeking a consultant to manage and evolve our clients' Security Education & Awareness programme. You will drive training, communications, and engagement to foster security-conscious behaviour across their organisations, protecting people, research, and IP.

You will tailor content to specific research cultures, lead end-to-end training cycles, deliver live onboarding, and produce threat updates for leadership and researchers, all while collaborating with the security team

Qualifications

Proven track record managing security education programmes at scale in tech or research.
Strong content creation skills across video, e-learning, written, infographics, and audio.
Broad security expertise: insider risk, IP protection, travel and event security.
Ability to distill complex threats into clear, actionable guidance for non-security audiences.
Credibility to present to all levels, from new joiners to senior leaders and researchers.
Autonomy to own the programme while collaborating with wider security team.
Experience working with senior leadership, legal, comms, and people teams.
Automation mindset; able to build workflows, dashboards, and pipelines.
Willingness to tailor training to client research culture.

Responsibilities

Own the annual security training cycle end-to-end: coordinate with e-learning vendor to refresh video content and scenarios each year, manage rollout and completion tracking, build leadership dashboards, and escalat.
Produce location-specific security briefings and short-form audio content for major conferences.
Deliver monthly live onboarding sessions, create interactive exercises and follow-up assessments, maintain on-demand recordings, and manage automated follow-up communications.
Coordinate quarterly security briefings for high-profile researchers and secure recurring slots at leadership forums to deliver concise threat updates.
Maintain and expand the client’s security resource hub with a library of bite-sized training content, threat updates, and best-practice guidance tailored to AI research workflows.
Produce regular security awareness content across internal channels — newsletters, chat posts, short-form video — to keep security top-of-mind between formal training cycles.
