Salary: £140,000 - £155,000 GBP + 20% bonus + package

Job Description:

Our client is a global security leader, operating at the cutting edge of digital transformation, cloud integration, and enterprise security. With over 7,500 cybersecurity specialists and strategic partnerships with top-tier security technology providers, they are redefining enterprise-grade security deployment and improvement.

They are seeking a Security Development and Test Director to lead their secure software engineering function, enhance DevSecOps maturity, and embed security across the development lifecycle. This client-facing, strategic leadership role is ideal for a security professional who excels at bridging technical delivery and business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead secure architecture standards and embed security within CI/CD workflows.
• Own security tooling strategy (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) and promote adoption across pipelines.
• Build and mentor teams in secure coding, DevSecOps, and threat modelling.
• Engage with major enterprise clients during pre-sales, delivery, and review phases.
• Manage financials, resource planning, and service maturity across the Secure SDLC portfolio.
• Act as escalation point for delivery issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in secure software development and testing, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience scaling DevSecOps or Secure SDLC programs in enterprise environments.
• Strong technical and commercial skills, capable of engaging CTOs and procurement teams.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and frameworks (NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001).
• Hands-on with secure engineering practices, security toolchains, and automation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, crisis leadership, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CISM).
• Eligible for UK SC clearance.
