What you'll bring to the team

Security Controller

Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN
Hours: 40 hours per week, evening and weekend work per business needs
Contract: Full Time Fixed Term
Salary: £13.00 per hour

The Security Controller plays a vital supporting role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Resort by assisting the Security and Incident Manager in overseeing daily safety operations and emergency response strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Security and Incident Manager in implementing and monitoring emergency protocols, particularly during evacuations, guest incidents, and crisis management.
  • Support the coordination and deployment of resources during emergencies, ensuring rapid response and efficient use of personnel and equipment.
  • Monitor the operational readiness of safety systems, including CCTV and public address systems, ensuring they are fully functional during critical situations.
  • Oversee the real-time monitoring of incidents, ensuring accurate and timely documentation within incident management systems.
  • Assist with implementing safety measures that enhance the guest experience during emergencies, ensuring clear instructions and professional interactions from staff.
  • Help train and equip team members to handle guest interactions, ensuring effective communication and maintaining a safe, secure environment for all visitors.
Qualifications & Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in public safety, emergency management, or a related field.
  • Experience in monitoring safety systems (e.g., CCTV, fire alarms, and public address systems) and providing operational support during emergency responses.
  • Experience in incident management, reporting, and coordination across teams is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks during high-stress situations.
  • Familiarity with emergency protocols, risk assessments, and compliance with safety regulations will be critical in ensuring that the Resort’s safety standards are consistently maintained.
  • Must have appropriate SIA licenses.
