Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions seeks a Compliance Officer & Security Controller to own compliance, governance and security, shaping the future of a defence-focused business. You will advise senior leadership, safeguard information and drive a culture of excellence across the organisation.

You will lead regulatory programs, audits and training, partnering with HR, IT and Operations to embed robust controls and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in compliance, governance, security, auditing, risk management or quality assurance within regulated or high-security environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK Government security frameworks, MOD requirements, Known Consignor regulations and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Experience managing personnel security and vetting processes, including BPSS, SC and DV clearances.
• Proven experience supporting government audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with regulators, government agencies and external partners.
• Demonstrable experience identifying, assessing and mitigating business, compliance and security risks.

Responsibilities

• Act as Security Controller, providing leadership across physical, personnel and information security.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, Export Controls, ISO standards and GovS007.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into practical policies and controls.
• Lead security vetting activities and security awareness programmes.
• Serve as Security Programme Manager for Known Consignor Scheme and manage regulators.
• Maintain risk register and provide assurance on compliance and security performance.
• Plan and lead internal and external audits, inspections and accreditation activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in governance and risk management processes.
• Deliver training and subject matter expertise across the organisation.
• Support investigations and corrective actions when required.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, SHEQ, Operations to embed compliance and security.
• Protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory reporting and need-to-know adherence.
