Job summary
KierBAM is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a live MOD project in Plymouth. You will implement QA/QC processes, run inspections, and ensure materials meet stringent specifications on a sensitive site requiring BPSS clearance.
You will collaborate with construction teams to drive quality throughout the build. Applicants should have quality qualifications, knowledge of ISO standards, and experience with tools like FMEA and SPC, plus strong analytical and communication skills to support audits
Qualifications
- Experienced QA engineer with QA/QC on construction or defence projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools (FMEA, SPC).
- CSCS Green card or equivalent required.
- On-site work at a live MOD facility with security considerations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute inspection and testing procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support problem-solving activities.
- Monitor production or construction processes for quality compliance.
- Review documentation and verify that materials/products meet specifications.
- Support audits and quality system implementations.
- Assist CAPA processes.
- Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends and improvements.
