Job summary

We are Babcock, seeking a System Configuration Specialist to strengthen security across a large IT estate in a hybrid UK setup. You will maintain security, stability and compliance, coordinating with security teams to deploy patches and updates and support disaster-resilient services in defence, aerospace and engineering sectors.

Role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with hybrid onsite/remote work. Requires BPSS/SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in vulnerability management and patch management.
• Strong PowerShell scripting with Microsoft Configuration Manager experience.
• Experience deploying operating system and application deployment, patching and endpoint security.
• Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment with significant endpoint estates.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, support tools and group policy management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Security Operations Centre and Information Assurance to maintain a secure environment.
• Implement approved vulnerability patches and software updates across the estate.
• Deploy system changes through established change management processes.
• Monitor Microsoft patch compliance and anti-malware services across client and server environments.
• Manage configuration baselines and enterprise systems management activities using Microsoft tooling.
