Security at AWS

Security is our highest priority. We are seeking a Security Assurance Specialist to help demonstrate the security controls of our services, evaluate compliance, and provide evidence to meet the expectations of our security-conscious customers. This role involves leading security assurance activities, assessing security controls, and improving security processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to establish security requirements and controls.
2. Manage evidence requests related to security controls, working with stakeholders.
3. Review security of new AWS systems and designs for potential risks.
4. Coordinate between stakeholders and technical teams to implement security controls.
5. Develop an understanding of security activities and controls to communicate effectively to stakeholders.
6. Maintain security documentation across AWS teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in security assessments or audits in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of security principles, industry best practices, and control assessments.
• Analytical skills and experience using data to inform decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with service-oriented and web services technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing AWS systems.
• Familiarity with security and audit frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
