Job description

Are you looking to work flexible shifts in West London? West London NHS Trust is currently recruiting to our bank pool of Security Assistants to assist in facilitating & completing necessary works, whether planned, reactive, or long-term projects.

As a Bank Security Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and secure working practices are maintained by Estates staff, contractors, and colleagues. You will be part of the Clinical Security Department in the West London Forensic Service (WLFS) of West London NHS Trust (WLNT). The roles focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Being able to work in a team environment is paramount, but we are also looking for candidates who can use their own initiative. A confident communicator comfortable dealing with all relevant stakeholders is essential. If you possess these skills, working bank at West London NHS Trust could be an ideal role for you, offering a wide range of experience in our acute and forensic units and career development within a diverse environment.

We offer weekday shifts, which are easy to view and book through the Allocate app by the Security Coordinator. We provide extensive induction and ongoing support to all bank staff.

Your responsibilities include ensuring that yourself and contractors/staff work within policies, procedures, and safe working practices set by WLNT. You should contribute to personal development, suggest improvements, and understand all related policies and procedures.

West London NHS Trust is a diverse provider of mental health, community, and social care in the UK. Our 3,982 staff care for over 800,000 people across London boroughs including Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Hounslow, delivering services in hospitals, community settings, GP surgeries, care homes, and secure forensic units.

We are rated 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are committed to promoting hope and wellbeing, working closely with patients, service users, carers, families, and community partners.

We value workforce diversity, especially in terms of ethnicity, gender, disability, LGBTQ+, and mental health experience. Our team is close-knit and supportive, providing mentoring and ongoing support. The annual leave entitlement starts at 27 days plus bank holidays.
