Security Area Relief Officers are wanted in and around Birmingham. Logistics People are recruiting SIA Licenced Security Area Relief Officers on behalf of Logistics Security to join our team.

Location: Birmingham, including but not limited to Swadlincote, Litchfield, Wolverhampton, Bardon.

Shift Pattern: Various shifts available.

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour plus 0.45p per mile fuel allowance; use of your own vehicle is required.

As a leading agency in the security industry, Logistics Security specializes in sourcing and deploying security personnel and solutions nationwide. We work with over 200 extensively trained security personnel during peak periods, focusing on developing and implementing comprehensive security supply chain strategies. Our operations involve delivering security solutions to major logistics providers across more than 50 sites in the UK, ensuring their operations run smoothly 24/7.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Support Officer to join our team, working within our warehouse and distribution depots, supporting our existing clients. You must demonstrate high-quality guarding skills and excellent customer service to clients and service users.

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular and random searches on staff or visitors within the site.
• Perform regular internal and external patrols of the site.
• Ensure that goods vehicles (deliveries or collections) entering or leaving the site are logged accurately on the relevant system.
• Maintain close communication with site contacts, colleagues, CCTV controllers, and the National Security Manager regarding incidents.
• Support the reduction of accidents and H&S breaches, minimizing risks to employees and visitors.
• Monitor, operate, and communicate using all forms of equipment (phones, intercoms, radios, email).
• Assist in site evacuations following fire evacuation procedures.
• Maintain strict data protection (GDPR) standards in monitoring, recording, and sharing information.
• Follow reasonable instructions issued by the site management team.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in the security industry.
• SIA Licence (SG/DS) required.
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle required.
• First aid certification is preferred.
• Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.
• Physically fit for effective foot patrols.
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
• Punctuality and attendance are essential for team effectiveness.
