We deal in the personal – from pet insurance for your best friend, and home insurance for peace of mind, to motor insurance for your dream car or travel money for that trip you’ve worked hard for. And that means we always work with heart. Whether we’re helping our customers or looking after our people, you’ll find there’s a warmth and friendliness to everything we do.

We’re looking for a Security Architect to join our Insurance and Money Services team.

What you’ll be doing
  • Ensuring robust security solutions protect Tesco Insurance and Money Service's sensitive data and IT infrastructure.
  • Applying your knowledge to a variety of projects – implementing new capabilities, enhancing existing services, connecting SaaS offerings, migrating services to new platforms.
  • Contributing to and reviewing designs as part of our architectural governance to govern change and ensure alignment to our Security Strategy, including applying ‘Secure by Design’ principles.
  • Applying security policies, standards, and patterns whilst ensuring mandatory and regulatory expectations are met.
  • Working flexibly to align with delivery methodologies used across the organization.
  • Collaborating with Architects and Technology Specialists across Insurance and Money Services to implement solutions aligned with the Technology Strategy.
We need you to have
  • Knowledge of Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Security Architecture Frameworks such as SABSA or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or equivalent.
And if you have any of these, even better
  • SAFe Agile
  • Knowledge of industry recognized security capabilities such as endpoint protection, data loss prevention, vulnerability management, secure code, next-generation firewalls, intrusion prevention, identity and access management, privileged access management.
  • Cloud native security capabilities offered by providers like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google.

We don’t expect you to tick every box; if you feel you hit most of the brief, it’s worth exploring to further develop your career here with us.

What’s in it for you
  • Private Medical Insurance (WL2+) and virtual GP Service for you and your family, days a year.
  • Performance-related annual bonus.
  • Generous holiday allowance with a minimum of weeks, with the opportunity to buy more.
  • Benefits of our Colleague Clubcard, enjoy a % discount that increases every payday (worth up to 2K). We’ll also give you a second card to share.
  • Family-oriented initiatives, including enhanced maternity leave pay, shared parental leave, and 8-week paid paternity leave.
  • Ongoing learning opportunities and award-winning training to help you achieve your career goals.
  • Participation in our Buy as you Earn and Save as you Earn share schemes.
