We're looking for a Security Architect to join our customer's growing security engineering team. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of cloud technology and modern application development, embedding security into every stage of the software lifecycle. You'll play a key role in shaping our customers' secure-by-default practices, influencing engineering culture, and ensuring that security is seen as an enabler in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
This role has evolved to place increased emphasis on Data Engineering and AI security. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on security architecture assessments for data products (primarily based on Snowflake) and contributing to the development of an AI Security Governance framework.
Required skills:- At least 2 years of commercial experience in a DevOps/Development role
- An interest for breaking web applications and APIs
- Robust Linux experience
- Solid knowledge of common web vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10)
- Proven experience with writing code, scripting, and automation
- Proven programming & debugging skills; the ability to read and write code
- Proven CI/CD experience
- Comfortable reviewing technical designs and identifying risks (e.g. Threat Modelling)
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Experience or interest in AI security principles and governance
Key responsibilities & duties include:- Advocating secure software practices and providing training/advice to developers
- Working closely with the engineering teams to help embed automated security checks and tooling within CI/CD pipelines
- Facilitating threat modelling sessions with product teams
- Reviewing security-sensitive application design decisions (e.g. authentication, cryptography, logging)
- Ensuring continuous scanning tools are working proficiently (e.g. SAST, DAST, SCA)
- Ensuring our testing program is working skillfully (e.g. pen testing, vuln scanning, bug bounty)
- Triaging vulnerabilities found and helping engineering teams with mitigations
- Working with Ops and Product teams to maintain effective monitoring and incident response
- Documenting security processes and procedures
- Performing security assessments of data products and pipelines
- Contributing to the design and implementation of AI Security Governance frameworks
