The Role

We are looking for security architects who want to play a key role in shaping the security strategy and infrastructure of the Financial Services industry, one project at a time. You will be expected to be a visionary leader who excels in designing secure, scalable, and resilient systems while mentoring teams to achieve security excellence.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement an enterprise-level security architecture strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
2. Lead the design and implementation of secure systems, networks, and applications, ensuring adherence to security-by-design principles.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to define security requirements for projects and business initiatives.
4. Evaluate and select security technologies, tools, and frameworks to address evolving threats and organizational needs.
5. Create comprehensive security blueprints for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
6. Oversee the development of secure DevOps practices, including integrating security tools within CI/CD pipelines.
7. Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
9. Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise for endpoint security, data protection, and identity and access management (IAM).
10. Foster a culture of security awareness across teams, providing training and mentorship to engineering and development teams.
11. Monitor emerging cybersecurity trends and threats, advising on proactive measures and innovative defense strategies.
12. Design and manage security incident response plans and ensure readiness through regular testing and updates.

Skills & Expertise

1. Extensive experience in developing and implementing security architectures.
2. Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures.
3. Expertise in application security, network security, and data protection.
4. Proficiency in security frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, SABSA, NIST, and ISO 27001.
5. Hands-on experience with security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IAM, and endpoint protection solutions.
6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++) is an advantage.
8. Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent.
