Opportunity

Janus Henderson Investors\' Information Security team strives to be on the cutting edge of technology and on top of the latest threats. As an Information Security Architect your contribution is invaluable to the team. You will be key to ensuring our business partners follow our best practices, while designing and helping implement cutting edge cloud security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with Information Security, the Infrastructure Cloud team, and the business.
• Collaborate with security engineers performing detailed analysis in line with our current security standards.
• Work closely with key stakeholders and technical teams in building essential relationships with strong communications across the organization while ensuring our business adheres to the security standards.
• Document existing security architecture and relevant tools.
• Advise and support cloud security initiatives.
• Plan, research, and design security architecture for new and existing Cloud systems.
• Represent and contribute to Architectural Governance Community of Practice.
• Participate in the security solutions design and implementation for the information security team. Provide hands-on direction to develop efficient and scalable solutions that align with the company\'s business objectives.
• Advise on mitigation for potential risks and ensure that designs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards through governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Ensure consistent administration of information security policies, standards, procedures, and controls to effectively improve security posture.
• Assist developers and systems administrators in designing and evaluating secure solutions.
• Undertake heightened threat modelling when required.

Qualifications

• Broad Microsoft Azure knowledge.
• 3+ years of information security experience.
• 5+ years of general IT infrastructure knowledge (servers, OS, networking, etc).
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with various IT teams and non-IT teams of various disciplines.
• The ability to assimilate complex technical challenges and provide appropriate security advice that delivers the right business outcomes.
• Practical experience reviewing engineering designs and enhancing security solutions against company standards.
• Experience working in financial industries (nice to have).
• Willing to supervise if needed (nice to have).
• 5+ years of information security experience (additional emphasis).
