As the Senior Security Analyst, your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the client’s network and endpoints using a SIEM platform for security alerts and investigating incidents.
  • Providing second/third tier analysis and investigation of security incidents and alerts escalated by team members.
  • Driving containment strategies during incidents, data loss, or breach events.
  • Using security tools such as firewalls, IDS, NAC, and data encryption programs to protect sensitive information and conduct investigations.
  • Supporting the CSO and clients through direct communication with security specialists.
  • Preparing reports documenting security incidents and their impact.
  • Proactively engaging with client teams regarding threats, vulnerabilities, and security updates.
  • Understanding and explaining emerging threats to various audiences within the client organization.
  • Researching the latest security trends to understand their potential impact.
  • Participating in an incident response team that is on-call out of hours on a fortnightly basis.
  • Creating reports such as daily summaries, handover reports, and threat analyses.
  • Liaising with third parties and vendors to troubleshoot the SIEM platform.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Security Analyst.
