Job summary

Nexus Jobs in London is seeking a seasoned Security Analyst to lead security initiatives across our network, systems and data. You will work with vendors and third parties to strengthen controls and respond to incidents.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience, a CS/IT degree, and familiarity with ISO 27001, PCI and GDPR. CISSP is preferred, and a proactive learner attitude is essential.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years proven experience as a Security Analyst.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable security leadership skills and experience managing third parties
  • CISSP certification preferred
  • Compliance knowledge including ISO 27001, PCI and GDPR
  • Knowledge of security technologies including network appliances, firewall administration, Active Directory, IAM, PAM, SIEM, UEBA, antivirus, IDS/IPS and MDM solutions
  • Understanding of ITIL or LEAN frameworks preferred
  • Experience with user environment management including desktops and laptops, profile management and access control methodologies
  • Proactive approach to keeping up to date with security technologies and industry trends

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for our security solutions, including third-party managed services
  • Maintain the security of our network, systems and data
  • Monitor security access and manage IDS/IPS configurations
  • Establish and implement security best-practice standards, policies and procedures
  • Conduct security scanning and ensure vulnerabilities are remediated efficiently
  • Analyse security incidents to determine their root causes
  • Determine, recommend and implement security upgrades, measures and controls
  • Deliver security responses to meet customer and client compliance requirements
  • Develop and manage security plans with vendors
  • Audit administrator activities and conduct security awareness training

Job description

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements

We are a recognised brand based in London and are recruiting a full-time, permanent Security Analyst. The role is based in Paddington, with some remote working possible. The salary is £65,000 to £75,000, plus benefits.
