Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Securing the Future Programme Profile

Securing the Future is the programme overseeing both the ongoing structural works at Airedale General Hospital and the delivery of a new hospital as part of the Government's New Hospital Programme (NHP). In May 2023, the Government announced that Airedale NHS Foundation Trust would be included in the NHP, recognizing the urgent need to rebuild the hospital due to significant structural risks posed by Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). RAAC was first identified on-site in late 2019, and since then, extensive risk mitigation works have been undertaken. In 2025, a ministerial update reaffirmed Airedale as one of the first priority schemes, ensuring it is among the hospitals prioritized for early delivery under the updated national funding and construction schedule.

While RAAC mitigation efforts have been ongoing, the new hospital programme is now being mobilized, presenting an exciting opportunity for those looking to play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure from the ground up.
