Business Unit: Secured Credit Strategy, Credit Risk
Salary range: £32,800 - £41,00 per annum
Location: Primarily remote, with the flexibility to work from a hub if desired. Occasional travel to a hub may be required based on business needs.
Contract type: 12m FTC

Our TeamWe're offering an exciting opportunity to become part of our Secured Credit Strategy team, where you'll collaborate with a talented group of analytical professionals. In this role, you'll help shape the automated lending strategy and support the development and refinement of credit policies that drive positive customer outcomes and promote responsible, sustainable lending.

What you'll be doing

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the secured automated lending strategies and credit policies to support responsible lending.
  • Support initiatives that promote a strong departmental culture focused on delivering positive customer outcomes.
  • Identify process improvements through problem solving and trouble shooting
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across Credit Risk teams to share best practices and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support Credit Strategy, Commercial, and Operational teams to identify improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and business value.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support management.

We need you to have

  • An analytical background with experience in SAS and MS Office; demonstrated understanding of credit risk data, systems, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of UK mortgage products and credit risk management, with the ability to contribute to the management of acquisition strategies.
  • The ability to convey complex information confidently and clearly to all levels, with ability to draw on technical knowledge and experience to coach and develop team members.
  • Experience of prioritising, managing multiple workstreams, and supporting team members in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Familiarity with tools like Python, R, SQL, or Power BI for advanced data analysis and visualisation.
  • Some experience with the development, monitoring, or validation of credit scoring and risk models, including how they inform strategy and decisioning.
