Job summary

CyberFortis Consulting Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Security & Secure Systems Engineer to design, implement and assure secure environments for defence-oriented software and AI capabilities. You will translate security requirements into practical controls and produce evidence for assurance reviews.

The role spans secure architecture, infrastructure security, vulnerability management, DevSecOps and data/AI security, enabling secure delivery and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering for complex systems and secure-by-design principles.
• Ability to translate security requirements into technical controls and evidence.
• Proven experience with threat modelling and risk-based control implementation.

Responsibilities

• Secure Architecture and Engineering: design and review secure system architectures and mitigations.
• Infrastructure and Environment Security: implement secure configurations, IAM, least-privilege and audit trails.
• Vulnerability Management and Security Testing: perform assessments and coordinate remediation.
• Secure Software Development and DevSecOps: integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines and IaC reviews.
• AI and Data Security: assess data flows, prompts, embeddings and controls for AI components.
• Security Assurance and Compliance Evidence: produce architecture documents, threat models, risk registers and remediation plans.
• Defence and Government Security: adhere to security Instructions and handle sensitive information appropriately.
