Valarian Technologies in London is seeking a Release Engineer to own the delivery pipelines and release lifecycle for Acra, ensuring secure, verifiable deployments across cloud-native, on-premise, and air-gapped environments. You will design reproducible release artifacts and enforce stringent supply-chain security standards.

The role focuses on cryptographic signing, SBOM provenance, and robust GitOps-driven automation to sustain high-velocity, secure software delivery in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE
• Strong focus on secure software delivery pipelines
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure experience
• Experience packaging and releasing for air-gapped/on-prem deployments
• Solid understanding of build integrity concepts and SBOM provenance
• Proficiency with CI/CD and GitOps tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD)

Responsibilities

• Own the Release Lifecycle: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and release tooling across environments
• Architect Air-Gapped & Offline Packaging: Design reproducible, self-contained release artifacts for zero-internet environments
• Enforce Software Supply Chain Security: Implement cryptographic signing, SBOM generation, and vulnerability gating
• Automate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Maintain release-side IaC and GitOps delivery frameworks to ensure deterministic updates
• Streamline Developer Velocity & Reliability: Collaborate with teams to standardize versioning and testing feedback loops
• Drive Release Readiness & Auditability: Ensure immutable audit trails and evidence artifacts for compliance
