Qualifications

• Substantial recent experience in economic development, inward investment, business growth or regeneration.
• Commercial awareness and ability to develop investment propositions, funding bids and programmes.
• Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn priorities into action.
• Proactive, influential relationship-builder capable of engaging senior stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of sector-focused growth programmes to support business growth, inward investment and inclusive opportunities across Luton.
• Build relationships with businesses, investors and public, private and academic partners; identify opportunities and attract investment.
• Support expansion, strengthen supply chains and help create high-quality jobs for local residents.
• Lead projects from concept to delivery, secure funding, manage budgets, and use market intelligence to inform decisions.
• Champion inclusive growth to ensure benefits reach businesses and communities in Luton.
