Job summary

Luton Borough Council is seeking a visionary Director of Strategy and Development to lead strategy, commercial development, sustainability, PMO and procurement. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape growth, oversee major programmes and ensure investments deliver social value.

This role focuses on steering programmes worth up to £2 billion, driving performance, and building partnerships across sectors to benefit communities in Luton and the surrounding region.

• Proven track record leading complex programmes and infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong commercial and strategic leadership experience.
