Job summary

Citadel LLC is seeking a Sector Data Analyst to learn investor approaches and leverage data to enhance research processes. You will assist investment teams by understanding key data drivers of companies and sectors and analyze data from multiple sources to test complex investment theses.

You will quickly digest data, recognize inflection points, and determine data relevancy to investment questions, performing research and presenting results to SDAs and investment teams in a clear, digestible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in statistics, engineering, economics, business, computer science, or physics is required.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in investment.
• Professional demeanor with strong learning, quick thinking, and communication skills for investment team interaction.
• Creativity and strong work ethic with organizational skills.
• Comfort identifying, analyzing, and presenting data; interest in finance and investment industry.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and Excel.

Citadel is focused on acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing large, unstructured data sets to generate new insights. Given the vast amount of data being produced, Citadel is implementing new research methodologies to identify significant trends. The Sector Data Analyst Team is committed to generating sustained alpha using a scientific approach to generate fundamental investment insights.

• Professional demeanor, a capability to learn, think, and react quickly, along with exceptional communication and presentation skills as required for interaction with investment teams
• Creativity/ability to innovate, combined with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
