SECTOR ADVISOR WBL – Pharmacy
Job Description

Purpose of this role:

Undertake sampling of assessment and internal verification decisions and records for competence/skills-based qualifications within the Pharmacy sector for apprentices on the Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship to ensure compliance with national occupational standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sample apprentice work to verify assessment outcomes meet standards
  • Produce reports for Pearson and Standards Verifier
  • Report on flawed assessments or processes
  • Communicate with Standards Verifier on sampling activities
  • Perform other duties related to WBL Assessment
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Previous Work Experience:
  • Experience in delivering and assessing NVQs/competence-based qualifications
  • Holder of assessor qualification and working towards or holding the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Willing to work towards or hold the Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • CPD in assessment and vocational qualification delivery
  • Registered with GPhC and remain registered during the role
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Excellent communication, IT, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant specifications
  • Customer-focused, good time management, team player
  • Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills
