Job summary

Network Rail is recruiting for a planning-focused role to coordinate and optimise safety-critical work activities across a section. You will create Safe Systems of Work, manage access requests and support quarterly planning for short and medium-term objectives.

The role involves running weekly planning meetings, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records to enable informed decisions and continuous improvement within a dynamic railway environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and optimise all agreed work activities within the section to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery.
• Produce Safe Systems of Work and submit green zone access and isolation requests.
• Develop draft quarterly plans to support short and medium term operational objectives.
• Lead weekly Plan Do Review meetings and represent Section Managers at planning meetings.
• Maintain high quality records by updating systems, databases and infrastructure maintenance documentation.
• Collate and manage planning and maintenance records to support decision making and continuous improvement.
