About the role

As a Section Manager in one of our National Distribution Centres (NDCs), you'll lead and motivate your team of Partners, ensuring smooth supply chain operations within your area of the site.

You'll ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time for our shops and customers, helping to drive sales and profitability for the Partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Working in an NDC is fast-paced. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing your team’s development, providing the tools and support they need to succeed.
  2. Aligning Partner resources with demand to maintain smooth operations.
  3. Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities with your team.
  4. Liaising with other departments and Partners to meet site KPIs.
  5. Maintaining effective communication between key stakeholders.
  6. Building strong relationships with Partners and empowering them to own their operational success and personal growth.
  7. Liaising with external stakeholders to support operational decisions.

Essential skills/experience

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience managing change in a logistics setting.
  • Knowledge of IT systems (MS Excel, MS Word, Warehouse Management Systems, DLx, email).

Desirable skills/experience

  • Flexibility to cover other areas of the operation as needed.
