Job Description:

1. Role Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Section Manager (MEP) to lead the installation and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on a major construction project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring on-site productivity, quality control, safety, and compliance with contract specifications and standards. 3. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and issue daily and weekly work plans, progress reports, and zone/trade-specific targets.
  • Ensure strict implementation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and task safety procedures, maintaining up-to-date documentation via the project platform.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers to track and ensure timely delivery of materials to central or site stores.
  • Circulate only approved drawings and specifications; escalate variations through formal Change Control.
  • Maintain detailed records of site constraints, manpower, tools, and materials; coordinate subcontractors and suppliers for site access and timely deliveries.
  • Collect and report on labour performance, efficiency metrics, and KPIs each month.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence on-site.
  • Support the commissioning, spares management, and warranty phases in coordination with QA/QC and Engineering teams.
  • Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to the Construction Manager.
  • Perform any other duties necessary to achieve the project and company objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams, quality control, programme schedules, commercial interfaces, and HSE compliance.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Experience with Lean construction reporting and dashboard tools.
  • Familiarity with BIM-based field coordination systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or UK NVQ Level 6 equivalent).
  • UAE or Middle East MEP project experience is advantageous.

5. Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of MEP construction experience, including 2–3 years in a senior supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience working in the Middle East or similar international environments is highly preferred.
