Role Overview

The Section Manager is responsible for leading and managing the section within a global or regional practice, supporting business strategy, developing high-performance teams, and embodying the company's values of client satisfaction, integrity, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and coordinate work assignments, reviewing performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Drive the growth of the section by managing staffing levels, project requirements, and billable goals.
  3. Implement and support company initiatives, managing change effectively.
  4. Offer technical and design guidance, supporting department members as needed.
  5. Support chargeability targets and standardize quality assurance processes.
  6. Assist in preparing workload and financial reports for management.
  7. Recruit, develop, train, and retain staff, conducting ongoing performance evaluations.
  8. Collaborate with business development teams to secure future projects.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety policies and promote diversity initiatives.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in design and/or project management.
  • Leadership or management experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence, lead change, and possess strong project management skills with a strategic outlook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
