Connect2Dudley seeks a Section Manager for Civil & Structural Engineering to lead the civil engineering teams in Dudley. You will deliver strategic direction for flood management, geotechnical services, and highway structures to protect and enhance borough infrastructure.

The role requires managing civil/structural projects, providing senior technical guidance, and acting as the Engineer/PM for related work, in a hybrid Dudley setting.

Qualifications

• Leadership of Civil Engineering teams and strategic direction.
• Experience in flood management, geotechnical works, and highway structures.
• Contract management; act as Engineer/Project Manager for civil/structural work.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and strategic direction in civil engineering services.
• Manage areas of work including flood risk identification and mitigation.
• Procurement and implementation of geotechnical works.
• Act as contractually nominated Engineer/Project Manager for civil/structural projects.
• Provide strategic guidance on civil engineering, flood management, and maintenance issues.
• Asset management for sewerage pumping stations serving private housing sites.

Client: Dudley Council

Location: Dudley- Hybrid

Rates: £300 Umbrella (£229.38 PAYE) per day.

JOB SUMMARY

To effectively manage the Civil Engineering Teams providing leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of Structural Engineering team Flood Management and Geotechnical services in order to protect, develop, enhance and promote the Borough's Highway Structures, Watercourses and Infrastructure, for the benefit of residents and visitors, and to support the environmental, economic and cultural development of the Borough.ACCOUNTABILITIES

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To provide leadership and strategic direction in the management of Civil Engineering services
• To provide management of the following areas of work:-
• Identification and mitigation of areas of Flood Risk.
• Procurement and implementation of Geotechnical works
• To act on behalf of the Council as the contractually nominated Engineer/Project Manager for all Civil and Structural Engineering related work
• To provide strategic direction, advice and guidance on civil engineering, flood management and maintenance issues at all levels.
• Responsible asset manager for two Council operated and maintained sewerage pumping stations serving private sector housing sites.
