About the role

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Section Foreman for the Devonport Dockyard project.

This role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project teams. Candidates willing to relocate may receive a subsistence package covering accommodation.

Join our Regional Civils team at Devonport Dockyard to lead vital infrastructure projects. We are looking for an experienced Section Foreman to oversee site teams, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards. What you'll be doing

As a Section Foreman, you will:

• Supervise the site team and subcontractors
• Contribute to weekly programming and monitor progress against KPIs
• Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce
• Ensure appropriate resource allocation for each work activity
• Chair daily short-interval control meetings with site supervisors
• Validate labour and plant records according to project cost control procedures

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

• Experience as a Foreman in civil engineering/construction
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and communicate effectively
• Current driving license, CSCS card, and SMSTS certification
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental standards
