YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT

EKFB is a joint venture, that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent with extensive experience in earthworks to join our team in the Greatworth to Southam Area.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

Reporting to the Sub-Agent:

  • Plan and provide engineering control and supervise production resources and supply chain, ensuring compliance with the EKFB policies and procedures together with the approved design specifications and drawings for a defined section of the Works.
  • Assist with temporary works design schemes and ensure compliance during implementation.
  • Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
  • Manage the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers and for identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensure they are completed to the contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties
  • Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
  • Complete records of quality audits in accordance with agreed procedures and timescales, ensuring compliance with assurance process and gathering relevant evidence.
  • Produce accurate “as-built” records of the Works.
  • Produce Inspection & Test Plans for all elements of the Works and supervise the delivery of the plan.
  • Produce risk assessments and method statements / WPP’s for the safe execution of the works.
  • Organise and conduct toolbox talks, safety stand downs and method statement briefings etc. to the construction team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
  • CSCS Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
  • Good IT Skills able to work confidently with MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Ability to communicate and work with Site Engineers, Foreman and Supervisors and site-based workforce.
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
  • Experiences of working on either Earthworks, Structures, Highways, Drainage or Utilities
