Job summary

Mint Selection Ltd is recruiting an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project in Aberdeen. You will own a defined section of works, coordinate engineering activities, oversee setting out and technical delivery, and ensure safety and quality standards on site.

The role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, experience leading engineering teams and subcontractors, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Section Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering and construction methodologies.
• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of setting out, quality assurance and site safety.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• CSCS certification; SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities across an allocated section of the project.
• Oversee setting out, surveying and technical delivery of construction works.
• Supervise Site Engineers and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection and test plans.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and resolve technical issues.
• Liaise with site management, designers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, quality documentation and progress reports.

Mint Selection is currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project with a leading Tier 1 contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in civil engineering and construction delivery to take ownership of a defined section of works, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
