An Integrated Care System is seeking a motivated Secretary for the Queensferry Medical Practice. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support and customer service, with duties including managing clinical correspondence, referrals, and patient requests. Ideal applicants have experience in a healthcare setting, are adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills. A good understanding of EMIS systems is desirable. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
The purpose of this role is to provide first class secretarial support to the GP Practice and to deliver excellent levels of administration and customer service. Responding to requests from clinicians, external services and other team members, you will complete a wide variety of tasks.
Referrals via clinical systems and WCCG
Workflow administration for all clinical correspondence
Effective read coding
Notes summarising
Completing Subject Access Requests (SARS)
Completing Private Medical Requests/Reports

We are a suburban practice with mixed socio-economic population. A modern skill mixed progressive team serving a population of around 8700 patients - with two GP Partners, two Salaried GPs, two long term locum ANP's, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCSW & an excellent administration support team. We use EMIS and have access to Lexacom digital dictation. We have easy and fast access to M56, M53 and A55 so are easily accessible from Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and North Wales. We are uniquely localised between two nearest hospitals providing secondary care services - Wrexham (under NHS Wales) and Chester (under NHS England)
