An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a Secretary/Administrator to join our Health Integration Team basedat Sheffield Road, Barnsley.

We are looking for a strongteam player, who can work on their own initiative and provide a comprehensive adminservice to this team.

Thesuccessful applicant will be part of a proactive team assisting with theorientation of people new to the country and from other marginalised groups tolocal health systems and helping people to access mainstream health services. You will be the first point of contact forany patients at Sheffield Road, Health Integration Team.

Main duties of the job

Itis essential that applicants have substantial experience of working in acustomer focused office or reception environment as well as good verbal/writtencommunication skills and data input experience. Experience of dealing withpeople with different cultural backgrounds and beliefs would be an advantagebut is not essential.

Thesuccessful, candidate will provide a full administrative and secretarialsupport to the Health Integration Team and the TB nursing staff. Key duties will include working withinElectronic Patient Records (e.g. SystmOne), producing documents using MicrosoftOffice software packages, arranging meetings / appointments, producing patientletters, servicing meetings including minute taking, ordering items via ourprocurement system and carrying out general admin duties such as filing andphotocopying. You may also be asked to minute MDT meetings with otherorganisations alongside the Health Integration Team.

Whilst always ensuringconfidentiality, the successful candidate will have the ability to work withoutdirect supervision, communicate effectively, work as part of a team, use their initiativeand prioritise their workload to meet deadlines as well as been able to maintainand record accurate details and have good organisational skills.

The working week will be: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7.5 hours per day 22.5 hoursper week.
