Overview

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Secondary Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are not attending school.

Responsibilities
  • Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment.
  • Reengage pupils with low confidence and offer structure back into their daily routine.
  • Work with Prospero Teaching to monitor progression with each pupil and support effective learning.
Contract details
  • Location: Tameside
  • Position: Secondary Tutor
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Hours: Part time, flexible within school hours
  • Rate: GBP 25 per hour (minimum)
Experience, training and qualifications
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience in a UK school
  • Up to date safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
Eligibility to apply
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
