Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Monmouth

Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant

Type of Work: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: GBP93.60 a day

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a large and vibrant school in Monmouth. This full-time, long-term role offers the chance to support students academic and personal growth while being part of a supportive school community.


Support for Students:
Assist students with their learning, particularly those who have special educational needs (SEN) or are struggling with specific subjects.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to help with classwork or assignments.
Encourage and motivate students to stay engaged and focused.


Support for Teachers:
Prepare classroom materials, resources, and displays.
Help manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.
Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and challenges.
Administrative Tasks:

Mark homework or simple classwork under the teacher's guidance.
Maintain student records and progress reports.
Set up and tidy up classrooms or learning spaces.
Classroom Management:

Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and other school activities.
Ensure students follow classroom rules and safety procedures.
Pastoral Support:

Build positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor or role model.
Support students' emotional and social development.

Professional Development: Access free training opportunities, including safeguarding and classroom management courses.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to process a new application).
