Secondary Teaching Assistant Full-Time Loughborough and Surrounding Areas

Pay: £83.33 - £90 per day

GSL Education is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team in Loughborough and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students and supporting their academic journey.

Role Overview: As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students within the classroom. You will assist in creating an engaging learning environment, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help ensure all students can access the curriculum. Your contribution will be invaluable in helping students build confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Providing targeted support to students who may require additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and promoting a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Helping students stay focused and engaged in their learning.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to monitor student progress.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • A DBS on the update service - or be willing to get one
  • Experience in an educational setting or working with young people (desirable).
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • A relevant qualification or willingness to undergo training is a plus.
