Job summary

Zest Education is recruiting a committed Teaching Assistant to support a very large, well-established secondary school in Walsall. The role begins on a day-to-day supply basis, with the strong possibility of progressing into a long-term position for the right person, starting January 2027 and ongoing.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm, supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping them engage positively with learning and make steady progress in a fast-paced, diverse setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people in a school setting.
• Patient, proactive and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Reliable, professional and confident in a busy secondary environment.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom learning by working with individuals and small groups.
• Assist with behaviour management to maintain a calm and productive environment.
• Help students with classwork, organisation and confidence.
• Provide support for pupils with additional needs where required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
