Job Description:

Are you a graduate with a 2:1 or higher degree, who wants to start their teaching training in September 2025 but wants hands-on experience in a classroom before you start? Do you want to work in a warm and welcoming secondary school that places the children at the heart of everything they do? Perhaps you would feel more confident during your teacher training knowing you’ve got experience to relate the training back to?

Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the SENCo and other Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants
  • Core Subject specialists preferred
  • Instil the school’s values into the teaching and support you provide
  • Provide 1:1 support to children who are in need
  • Specialise in a subject or provide general academic support
  • Learn to adapt your teaching style depending on age and ability
  • Report back to teachers on progress
  • Term time only inclusive of holiday pay (£450 – £550 per week)
  • CPD on offer from the school and i-teachers to add to your CV
