Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting numerous Teaching Assistants to support students in secondary schools in Stoke. You will work with teachers to help pupils complete tasks and develop independence in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Roles involve 1:1 support occasionally and contributing to individual education targets. A DBS check is required, and successful applicants join a team of education consultants offering ongoing guidance and flexible placement options.

Qualifications

• Experience in secondary schools or similar settings required.
• Enhanced DBS check (online update service) required or willingness to obtain.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required for teaching roles.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to complete tasks in the classroom.
• Occasionally provide 1:1 support.
• Promote independence within the school environment.
• Develop pupils' confidence.
• Implement and maintain learning strategies.
• Help pupils achieve individual education targets.
• Work with teachers and other TAs to foster a positive learning environment.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for numerous Teaching Assistants to support students in secondary schools in Stoke.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils to complete set tasks within the classroom
• Occasionally on a 1:1 basis.
• Promoting independence within the school environment.
• Developing confidence of the pupils.
• Implementing and maintaining learning strategies.
• Supporting pupils to achieve their individual education targets.
• Working in partnership with teachers and other TAs to provide a stable, positive environment for learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working in Secondary Schools or similar settings.
• Individuals who have worked in an environment supporting and managing young people such as youth groups, sports coaching and mentoring.
• Other education professionals with these skills and experience.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the online update service or be willing to purchase one.

Additional Requirements

• As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement.
• Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
