Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across Stoke. You will help pupils complete set tasks, sometimes provide 1:1 support, and promote independence to help learners meet targets.

Join a collaborative team and contribute to a positive learning environment. A DBS enhanced check is required, and your CV should show experience with children and young people. QTS or equivalent may be required for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational settings.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom tasks and pupil needs.
• DBS enhanced check is required; CV must show relevant experience with children and young people.
• Teaching roles require QTS or equivalent or practical support experience in schools.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to complete set tasks within the classroom.
• Occasionally provide 1:1 support for pupils.
• Promote independence and develop pupils' confidence.
• Implement learning strategies and help pupils achieve targets.
• Work with teachers and other TAs to maintain a positive learning environment.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for numerous Teaching Assistants to support students in primary schools in Stoke.

Responsibilities of the role will include;

• Supporting pupils to complete set tasks within the classroom
• Occasionally on a 1:1 basis.
• Promoting independence within the school environment.
• Developing confidence of the pupils.
• Implementing and maintaining learning strategies.
• Supporting pupils to achieve their individual education targets.
• Working in partnership with teachers and other TA’s to provide a stable, positive environment for learning.

Who can apply?

• Experience working in Secondary Schools or similar settings.
• Individuals who have worked in an environment supporting and managing young people such as youth groups, sports coaching and mentoring.
• Other education professionals with these skills and experience.

Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the online update service or be willing to purchase one.

The CV needs to show all of your experience working children and young people.

Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
