GSL Education are seeking a motivated and reliable Secondary Teaching Assistant to work in a dynamic mainstream secondary school in Gosport.

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA), you will assist class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. You will work closely with students, providing one-to-one or small group support to help them meet their academic and personal development goals.

This opportunity is ideal for university students or individuals passionate about working with teenagers in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

• Assist students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 with their learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to support lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Provide additional academic and emotional support to students who need it most.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Track student progress and feedback to relevant staff members.
• Help prepare classroom resources and materials.

Skills & Requirements for Secondary Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students as a Secondary Teaching Assistant is beneficial.
• Students who are seeking to gain experience in education setting are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare.
