Job summary

GSL Education are excited to offer opportunities for Secondary Teachers across various subjects to join our Croydon schools. The role covers KS3–KS5, with dynamic teaching, robust planning, and curriculum delivery.

Candidates must have UK QTS, at least 12 months of classroom experience, and be capable of safeguarding and DBS checks. Roles include full-time or part-time options, long- or short-term contracts, and a daily pay scale of £150–£260 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of classroom teaching experience.
• Holds UK QTS with valid teaching qualification (B.Ed./B.A) with a PGCE. ECT/NQT status welcome.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a Secondary teacher, your responsibilities typically include more than just marking and planning, although those are important aspects of the role. Here are some key responsibilities you would typically have:

• Collaboration:Work closely with colleagues to ensure cohesive and effective delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the school community.

The successful candidate for Secondary Teacher will have:

• Secondary teaching experience, with at least 12 months of classroom teaching experience (placements can be counted).
• HoldsUK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)with valid teaching qualification (such as B.Ed. or B.A) with a PGCE. Teachers having ECT/NQT status are also welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• DBS on Updated Service.
