About the role

St Margaret Mary's College, Hyde Park is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teacher - Middle Leader - Pastoral. This is a full-time, permanent teaching role with a fixed-term appointment as Acting Pastoral Leader until 17 January 2027, starting as soon as possible.

The Pastoral Leader supports the mission of the College through effective leadership in supporting students as members of the College and community. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership in three dimensions: teaching and learning, human leadership, and strategic leadership.

• Ability to work as part of a dedicated team of professional teachers, providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with parents

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other

• Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to travel within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville as needed
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role safely
