Make a Lasting Impact in Somerset as a Secondary Teacher

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a part-time Secondary Teacher to join an exceptional school in Somerset, starting 22 April 2025.

This role is ideal for teachers with Qualified Teacher Status who are passionate about supporting students with Moderate Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties, aged 4 - 16.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:40 pm, providing a structured yet varied schedule. The full-time salary ranges from £31,650 to £43,607 per year, with part-time pay pro-rata, ensuring fair compensation for your hours worked.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with MLD and SLD effectively
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for personalised learning
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment, where students feel supported and encouraged
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop and deliver personalised learning plans
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
