Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Supply Teacher:

• Deliver pre-planned or self-prepared lessons across your subject specialism.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varied abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activity.
• Follow school policies and work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere.

Secondary Supply Teachers Requirements:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Subject specialism in any secondary curriculum area.
• Experience working as a Supply Teacher across secondary schools is preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in different school environments and quickly build rapport with students.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
