Job summary

Academics in The Wirral is seeking a Secondary Sociology Teacher for flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term opportunities across trusted secondary schools and sixth-form colleges.

You will deliver GCSE and A-Level Sociology, lead engaging debates, and support students with diverse abilities while maintaining high classroom standards. DBS checks will be completed; willingness to commute The Wirral is required.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Criminology, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of current GCSE and A-Level Sociology specifications (AQA, OCR, or Edexcel).
• Excellent communication, strong essay-marking capability, and effective differentiation strategies for mixed-ability groups.
